When I arrived at Minidoka National Historic Site, I expected to learn about history. I expected to see photographs, artifacts, and reconstructed buildings that told the story of one of America's ten War Relocation Authority camps during World War II. I wasn't expecting to spend so much time thinking about choices. Who do we become when life takes away the choices we wanted and leaves us only with the choices we still have?

Every journey has the power to change us. Some journeys take us across oceans. Others lead us through grief, unexpected diagnoses, or seasons we never imagined. Along the way, many of us find ourselves asking a question we never expected: Who am I becoming?
